Tuesday Drum Class

The Seaford Drum Circle started in 2014. Each group is a mixture of regulars & some new faces. New members are always welcome :)

Classes are flavoured by world rhythms collected over 25 years from across the globe. Each Session focuses on how we play together as much as what we play and everyone is invited to play at their own level.

Term Dates

Tuesday 17 June 2025 7-9pm

Tuesday 25 June 2025 7-9pm

Tuesday 01 July 2025 7-9pm

Tuesday 8 July 2025 7-9pm

Tuesday 15 July 2025 7-9pm

Sunday 20 July 2025 Drumathon 2-10pm

In practice this looks like the teaching of simple foundations - playing techniques, rhythmical ideas, group games or exercises that build towards deep and satisfying musical experiences for everyone. The resulting grooves and energy can be said to emerge from our groups rather than being imposed upon them. We find this makes a profound difference to people’s experiences whilst placing a shared responsibility and ownership on what we create together.

Pricing Structure

£10 per session when booking 3 or more sessions in advance.

£11 per when booking a couple of sessions in advance.

£12 per when paying for one at a time.

Bookings can be for specific dates or on account to be allocated closer to the time.

*LONG DRUM* - £15 if booked before April £20 after that. This is our end of term special session for all regular participants. It’s a celebration, meditation and appreciation for all the progress made over the term. Deep grooves and great music awaits!

Monthly Drum Seaford

(on hiatus stay tuned ; )

Sunday (Last of every month) 13.00-14.00 Seaford

The Seaford Drum Circle started in 2014. Each group is a mixture of regulars & some new faces :) Drop in, no need to book.

The emphasis in these sessions is community, so whatever your level, if you want to come together with a group for an hour and bang a drum in time, you are welcome. This practice, which has shown up in numerous cultures over decades, is a proven way to increase oxytocin (the wellbeing hormone), relieve stress, connect with others and feel good!

People of all ages are welcome. If you come with kids we encourage you to drum with them as this can be a lovely experience and means they have the pleasure of being absorbed into the larger energy of the group.

The session will be flavoured by world rhythms collected over 20 years from across the globe. Having studied and worked alongside master percussionists from many different countries, Jamie uses the simple rhythmic pulse to bring a group together and build the foundation upon which infinite musical variations can be explored.

We are hosted by the lovely South Hill Barn Coffee who provide a lovely selection of cakes, teas and some of the best coffee we’ve tasted in Seaford. So come and drum with us in the idyllic surrounds of Seaford Head Nature Reserve.

Seaford Drumathon 2025

Yearly - 8hr Sponsored day of drumming 2025

In support of International Animal Rescue

Come for some or come for all! Drums provided, drop ins welcome. This is a group challenge, no individual will be expected to keep drumming for 8 hrs (though you may choose to, personally).

Jamie will lay down some simple foundations - playing techniques, rhythmical ideas, group games or exercises that build towards deep and satisfying musical experiences for everyone. The more we play, the deeper and more dynamic the music becomes.
